WTA Finals 2019 – Our Predictions
The best eight players will meet in WTA Finals 2019. Ashleigh Barty, Karolina Pliskova, Naomi Osaka, Elena Svitolina, Bianca Andreescu, Simone Halep, Petra Kvitova, and Belinda Bencic made the cut. They were really the best during 2019 and that makes the prediction of the winner really tough. We try our best but remember that we expect a lot of three sets and close matches in Shenzhen.
Looking at the current form and latest performance we see three interesting candidates for the trophy.
Naomi Osaka’s good performance and two tournament wins (Osaka and Beijing) in the last two months make her one of the hot favorites. Bianca Andreescu with good results and performance at the biggest summer tournaments (Toronto and US Open) is the second hot favorite for us. We also like the story of Cinderella who qualifies at the last possible time to make run to the final. Just like in 2016 when Dominika Cibulkova did it. Belinda Bencic will definitely be interesting pick as all the pressure falls off after her semifinal win in Moscow against Mladenovic.
However, nobody’s chance can be discounted. The last four WTA Finals winners were usually not the biggest pre-tournament stars (2015 Radwanska, 2016 Cibulkova, 2017 Wozniacki, 2018 Svitolina). Essentially, what applies to any WTA tournament this season applies also to the WTA Finals. Anybody out of eight participants can be the winner on Sunday, 3rd November.
However, you are here to read our prediction, so here is our pick we would put our money on.

WTA Finals 2019 – Racket Corner
We will see 3 Wilson, 2 Head, 2 Yonex and 1 Babolat racket in the action during WTA Finals. Surprisingly, Babolat that has most WTA tournament wins this season has just one player in Shenzhen.
Wilson will be used by Simone Halep who plays with Wilson Burn, Petra Kvitova plays with Wilson Pro Staff and Elena Svitolina uses Wilson Blade. Ashleigh Barty and Bianca Andreescu play with Head Graphene Speed racket. Naomi Osaka and Belinda Bencic use the Yonex Ezone racket, and Karolina Pliskova plays with Babolat Pure Drive racket.
