After 10 days of hard-fought battles, we finally arrived in semifinals at US Open 2018. And that is the right time to refresh my picks for winners of both singles draws.

My pick for US Open Ladies Singles winner went from Maria Sharapova (preseason pick) to Simone Halep (pretournament pick)

I admit I was absolutely wrong. Halep did not survive the first round and Sharapova lost in the 4th round. Not a thing I can be proud of. Maybe time to finish with predictions, but every tennis player would tell you, no matter the result, you can’t stop trying,
The semifinal setup shows, that the court suits the hard-hitting players. Serena Williams plays Sevastova and Keys meets Osaka.
Interesting side fact: Both semifinal matches will be between Wilson and Yonex racket.
In the end, I expect all American and all Wilson finals on Saturday with Serena Williams winning it all. Like it or not, Serena Williams is the best tennis player at the moment. She is not playing a lot of tournaments this year (due to the obvious fact, she is a mother now), but her appearances are always spectacular. She won Australian Open this year, she was in finals in Wimbledon and now it is time to close the season with the win at US Open.

Men’s US Open 2018 – I stay with …
A lot of tennis fans are mourning after Roger Federer lost with John Millman. Even our readers picked Federer as the most probable winner of US Open 2018.
Side note: The pick up of visitors on our Tecnifibre page showed that not so many fans knew about John Millman and what racket he uses before.
However, even without Federer, the semifinals will be master class tennis. Nadal and DelPotro match will be as good as any Federer – Nadal meeting. And if you saw at least one Nishikori match during last 10 days, you know that Djokovic – Nishikori will be worth watching.
And with Men’s Singles, a good thing finally happen also to my pick. I picked Novak Djokovic before the 2018 season started and as you already saw in the tweet above, I picked him again before US Open 2018 started.
Today I will stay with my pick. I see a good chance Novak will beat Nishikori and then I expect five sets match no matter who will be his opponent in finals.
Side note for tennis racket brand fans: It will be Wilson against Babolat and Wilson against Head in Men’s semifinals.
