This week on courts (Barcelona, Belgrade, Stuttgart, Istanbul) – 16/2021

Clay season is in a full swing and even lower-tier events (500 & 250) will attract almost all players from the top 10.

Tennis Week 16/2021

ATP 500 Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell

Place: Barcelona, Spain
April 19 – April 25
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: $1 702 800
Draw size: 48

Three players from ATP TOP 10 should play in Barcelona. Rafael Nadal will be definitely the biggest star and favorite of this ATP 500 event. However, Tsitsipas and Schwartzman will do everything to overperform him.

Who to watch: Nadal, Tsitsipas, Schwartzman, Carreno Busta, Fognini
Our worth the money call: Sinner

ATP 250 Serbia Open

Place: Belgrade, Serbia
April 19 – April 25
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: $711 800
Draw size: 28

This tournament will be a big thing in Serbia. It is not surprising that Novak Djokovic will star there, and he will be joined by other top 10 player Matteo Berrettini. Serbia Open is way above ATP 250 level.

Who to watch: Djokovic, Berrettini
Our worth the money call: Djokovic

WTA 500 PORSCHE TENNIS GRAND PRIX

Place: Stuttgart, Germany
April 19 – April 25
Surface: Clay
Financial Commitment: $565 530
Draw size: 32

WTA tennis suffers from fewer playable tournaments, so if there is WTA 500 one, everyone wants to participate.

Seven players from WTA TOP 10, thirteen from top 20, and the last direct entry for the main singles draw is Kerber at place 26. That is just incredible.

Who to watch: Barty, Halep, Kenin, Svitolina, Pliskova, Sabalenka, Kvitova
Our worth the money call: Bencic

WTA 250 TEB BNP PARIBAS TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

Place: Istanbul, Turkey
April 19 – April 25
Surface: Clay
Financial Commitment: $235 238
Draw size: 32

Players from the top 20 are in Stuttgart and players out of the top 20 will be in Istanbul. That gives us a pretty balanced field of players that would like to win.

Who to watch: Martic, Putintseva, Kudermetova
Our worth the money call: Kasatkina
