Grass Tennis Season 2018

Roland Garros Final is played on Sunday 10th of June and that is the end of clay tennis spring 2018. June and July belong to grass. Grass Tennis Season 2018 starts on 11th of June and finishes in Newport on 22nd July. The Wimbledon takes place from 2nd of July till 15th of July.

The great paradox is, that the grass is the less used surface for professional tournaments, but Wimbledon title is ranked highest in eyes of many players.

Here is the quick recap of what tournaments we will see on grass this season with names of defending winners from 2017.

There will be 8 ATP and 6 WTA tournaments played on grass this season (same as season 2017).

Last season belonged to Roger Federer who captured two titles (Wimbledon and Halle), nobody else has more than 1 title. On ATP courts, Wilson took home half of ATP tournament titles, with Prince following with surprising two tournament wins. On WTA tour, Babolat took three out of six tournament titles, with Yonex capturing another two. All six tournaments were won by a different player.
