FED CUP FINAL: WILSON RACKETS RULES

updated 22.10 – as Czech final nomination was published we updated table of  players taking part in Fed Cup Final

Which rackets will be used in Fed Cup Final?

In just six weeks we will find out who will celebrate with Fed Cup Trophy. This year Fed Cup Final will take place in Prague, Czech Republic in 02 Arena on Hard (Novacrylic Ultracushion System) surface. Official ball of Fed Cup Final is Wilson Tour All Court. Czech republic will meet Russia and we will see replay of 2011 Final, when Czechs beat Russia in Moscov 3-2. Czech Republic is defending champion and favourite of this clash because of three players (Kvitova, Safarova and Pliskova) in WTA TOP 10. However Russia plans to come with strongest possible squad to Prague, which will include Maria Sharapova.

Let’s take a look on equipment and especially rackets Czech and Russian tennis pros use. As we do not know yet the final nomination of teams, we are presenting all Czech and Russian women players which are in WTA TOP 100 ranking as of 28.09.2015. There we see strong representation of Wilson. Wilson rackets are used by 9 players of 18 in WTA TOP 100. Second most used racket brand Babolat have just 3 players there, the same number like Head rackets. Generally in women tennis are numbers of Wilson and Babolat racket users almost equal (with slight edge in favour of Wilson), in Prague Fed Cup final we will see mostly Wilson mark on rackets.

Here is the table of players who were nominated by respective team captains:
