This model can be a game-changer. First laceless shoes used by top tennis players at the biggest stage. The player will be Stefanos Tsitsipas and the big premier come in January.
Maybe his all year long “totally ripped off” shoelaces were part of a clever marketing campaign. It happened at the Australian Open in January and then again in July at Washington and again at Laver Cup. Now his problems and problems with many other players should be gone. Adidas Stycon will be the first laceless tennis shoe model. We expect the model will keep all the great features (midfoot stability and lateral movement support) of former Adidas models and adds something extra.
NEW BALANCE 996v4
Another model in the popular tennis shoe line of 996 comes from New Balance. 996v4 will have a premiere at courts in January. The model should be made in men and women versions.

ON SHOES by ROGER FEDERER
Roger Federer was Nike’s most known tennis player for years. However, their relationship ended back in 2018. Federer signed a new $300 million apparel contract with Uniqlo in 2019 but did not sign any contract for shoe partnership. He still wore Nike Air Zoom in 2019 season but now he is ready to move on. On, the Swiss sneakers company announced in November 2019 that Roger Federer become one of its investors. The exact amount of investment was not disclosed but Roger Federer will be an important shareholder of the company. He will also perform a lot of marketing duties for the company and will also spend some time with the design department to start his own sneakers line.
Zurich, Switzerland based On company was established back in 2010 and currently has annual sales of approximately $200 million. On is known mainly for its running shoes that use patented Cloud rubber soles that are very popular among runners.
We can expect that new Roger Federer branded shoes will be revealed during the 2020 season. Nobody will be surprised if new shoes will be dedicated to tennis players. It is probably no accidence that Roger Federer invested in On just at the moment when he should regain control of the “RF” logo that belonged to Nike till now. So be prepared for On Roger Federer Tennis Shoes in 2020.
