Sportbot – Mobile Tennis Ball Machine

A revolution in the tennis ball machines sector is coming. At least, I see it that way. A Slovenian-based start-up Sportbot is developing the first mobile tennis ball machine. Mobile means it will move around the court, controlled by your phone, and shoot the balls from different spots on your wish.

Sportbot Mobile Tennis Ball Machine – My first impressions

The smooth movement of the machine is very impressive.

The wheels are lovely, but that is not all you should notice.

The machine is not very big. The dimensions 30 x 35 x 35 cm rank Sportbot between smaller ball machines. The weight is another story, but I think the reason for 25 kg is the movement mechanism.

Ball feed speed, feed interval, and elevation range are one of the best I saw.

The battery life is a bit shorter, but that is the price you have to pay when your machine is not standing still but rolling over the court.

The machine is developed as fully controlled by your smartphone (iOS or Android), no additional remote control will be needed. The Sportbot machine will be programmable. The pre-set drills and drill customization option will be included in your app.

Sportbot will start accepting pre-orders from October 1st, but you can already join their mailing list here. That is the best way how to stay informed or you can return to this article. We plan to update all the information as soon as the company releases them.
