What is Yonex Power Cushion technology?

All new Yonex tennis shoes are using Power Cushion Technology for absorbing shock and reversing into the energy for the next movement. The impact of this technology is described by Yonex in this funny story (source: Yonex website):

“When dropped from 7m above a Power Cushion sheet, an egg will bounce back 4m without damage.”

Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion 4 Tennis Shoes

Yonex Women’s Power Cushion Eclipsion 4 Tennis Shoes (White)

Yonex Eclipsion 4 tennis shoes are excellent shoes for professional players. They are produced in men’s and women’s versions, and with clay and hard court outsoles.

Power Cushion technology is a must in all Yonex tennis shoes, but Eclipsion 4 has also other up-to-date technologies.

Double Russel Mesh on the outside of the shoes is extremely light but still very durable. The air exchange and release of moisture are incomparable to normal mesh.

Eclipsion 4 includes feather bounce foam to add bounce to your step. The new heel design in addition to the Yonex round sole gives you better heel-to-toe movement.

Overall, Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion 4 are the best shoes from Yonex and the number of professional players wearing them just proves the point.

Yonex Power Cushion Fushionrev 4 Tennis Shoes

Yonex Power Cushion Fushionrev 4 tennis shoes were released in August 2022 as an update to its predecessor Fushionrev 3.

They have all the technologies we mentioned with Eclipsion 4. Of course, the design is a bit different, and they also have Asymmetrical laces for a better, natural fit.

The design change is seen mainly in the upper foot, with the material of higher durability but still comfortable enough.

Fushionrev 4 tennis shoes are made in clay and hardcourt versions, and men’s and women’s versions as well.

Yonex Power Cushion Sonicage 3 Tennis Shoes

Yonex Sonicage 3 is the newest Yonex tennis shoe model. This lightweight, comfortable model is aimed at intermediate players. It is available in hard court and clay versions.

Yonex makes also a special wide (unisex) version, in addition to the regular men’s and women’s versions of Sonicage 3.

It has several interesting technologies (in addition to Power Cushion) to help players on the court.

FlexQuip Durable Skin provides extra durability and also divides natural pressure from on-court movements to all feet, to relieve pressure from the medial forefoot.

The Power Graphite plate added in the midfoot outsole reduces stress on your hips and knees and provides additional stability.

Toe Assist Shape and Yonex Round Sole help your foot in smooth movement and prevents lateral movements.

Yonex Power Cushion Sonicage 3 tennis shoes were introduced in September 2022, so not every store has them yet.
