WTA FINALS 2016 Racquets

Updated 22.10 – thanks to win in Moscow, Svetlana Kuznetsova (Russia) moved over Johanna Konta in ranking and qualified for WTA Finals 2016. Kuznetsova play with Head racket, which gave us final numbers regarding rackets. 4 Babolat, 2 Wilson, 1 Yonex, 1 Head.

Updated 18.10 – Serena Williams, due to shoulder injury, will not take part in BNP Paribas WTA Finals 2016 in Singapore. She will be probably replaced by Johanna Konta (Great Britain). Konta is playing with Babolat racket, which change overall racquet picture in Singapore. Now 5 players will play with Babolat, 2 with Wilson and 1 with Yonex. Babolat dominance is rising.

We are just one week ahead to WTA Finals 2016. Immediately after the finish of Moscow and Luxembourg tournaments, main WTA event of the year will start in Singapore.

BNP PARIBAS WTA Finals 2016 starts on Sunday, 23rd October with group stage matches. We will know this year winner week later on Sunday, 30th October when the final match takes place. Finals will be played on Hard surface. The financial commitment is 7 000 000 USD.

Let`s have a look on racquets we will see in action in Singapore. Here is the list of players qualified for WTA Finals 2016.

The dominance of Babolat rackets will continue also during WTA Finals 2016. Four participating players will use them. Wilson rackets would be used by three players and one player – Kerber – will play with Yonex.
