Wimbledon is over, but tennis season is not. There will be enough tennis all around the world this week too. You can even pick which surface is your favorite one as there will be tournaments on clay, grass, and hard.

Tennis Week 28/2021

ATP 500 Hamburg European Open

Place: Hamburg, Germany
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: €1 168 220
Draw size: 28

The only non-250 tournament this week will attract an interesting field of players. Auger-Alliasime, Karatsev, and Carreno-Busta will lead the singles. Locals Dominik Koepfer and Jan-Lenard Struff will try to go deep in the draw too. Watch out also Nikoloz Basilashvili and Dusan Lajovic, who need to take some win finally.

ATP 250 Hall of Fame Open

Place: Newport, USA
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Grass
Financial Commitment: $535 535
Draw size: 28

Newport is the last grass tournament this season and is aimed at those who like grass and was not satisfied with results in Wimbledon. A strong team of US players will be present: Querrey, Sandgren, Johnson, Giron, and Kudla. Then we will also see Bublik and Pospisil, who can last in the tournament until the weekend.

ATP 250 Nordea Open

Place: Bastad, Sweden
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: €481 270
Draw size: 28

Shapovalov, Ruud, Fognini, and Garin are much more than we could expect from ATP 250 tournament. However, courts in Bastad always attract above-average players. Watch out also “the next Nadal” Carlos Alcaraz at the courts.

WTA 250 Livesport Prague Open 2021

Place: Prague, Czech Republic
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Hard
Financial Commitment: $235 238
Draw size: 32

The first tournament of the summer hard season will take place in Prague. Kvitova, Krejcikova, Vondrousova, Siniakova, and Martincova will be a favorites at home courts. However, Bencic or Jabeur will not give up easily. This tournament will be another celebration of tennis quality.

WTA 250 Ladies Open Lausanne 2021

Place: Lausanne, Switzerland
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: $235 238
Draw size: 32

Cirstea, Zidansek, Ferro and Teichmann will be seeded at this clay tournament in Lausanne. However, I will watch one non-seeded player. Samsonova had a good run on grass and would like to prolong it on clay too.

WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix 2021

Place: Budapest, Hungary
July 12 – July 18
Surface: Outdoor Clay
Financial Commitment: $235 238
Draw size: 32

Podoroska, Putintseva or Collins? Three WTA TOP 50 players should come to Budapest. Besides, there will three Romanian players with high goals set, Begu, Tig, Bogdan. And of course, local star Timea Babos will be present too.
