ATP most used tennis court surfaces

Every player has his own favorite tennis court surfaces. Amateur or professional, everybody has its preference. Nadal plays his best on the clay court, Djokovic on the hard surface and Boris Becker made from Wimbledon grass court his living room.

I was always thinking about the ATP tournament calendar and their preference for different type of court surfaces. So we looked on this season calendar and did a small research.

The year always starts on hard courts in Australia and New Zealand, then combined Clay and Hard season in Europe and the USA continues till Rolland Garros at the end of May.

June is reserved for grass tournaments in Europe and after Wimbledon the tour move to the USA for hard courts season.

After US Open players travel to Asia and Europe to finish the season on hard again, however in Europe they play indoor due to weather.
