HEAD rackets most used between ATP players

CHECK LATEST POST WITH STATISTICS ABOUT MOST USED AND MOST SUCCESSFUL TENNIS RACKETS IN PROFESSIONAL TENNIS.

First of all I want to tell you, that we updated all our data. First Grand Slam of 2016 finished and that is the right time to make all data correct. So we spend some time and refreshed our ATP and WTA rankings on site. We also recalculated shares of racket brands between ATP and WTA players .

ATP TENNIS – HEAD RACKETS NEW TOP BRAND

And as we crunched the numbers we got new picture in men tennis. Last year the fight between HEAD and WILSON was tight, but WILSON still had the lead in share of players in ATP TOP 100. However first month of this year helps HEAD and currently, they have more players (28 vs. 26) in TOP 100. HEAD is leader also in TOP10 (4 players) and in TOP 30 (10 players). Just in between ATP TOP 50 players WILSON still keeps slight lead (16 vs. 14 players).

Last year HEAD rackets had most wins on ATP circuit and this year it becomes also the most used racket brand between top ATP players. Thanks mainly to Djokovic, Murray, Berdych and Gasquet, HEAD is winning most tournaments on ATP tour and has also biggest share between players.

WILSON lost his edge on share, but its prospects are not so bad. Except their best and only Roger Federer, WILSON have also group of young emerging stars under contracts. Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic, David Goffin should claim lot of victories in following years and WILSON can challenge HEAD as most winning racket brand in ATP tournaments in following years. And of course they can return also to top spot as most used racket brand between top 100 players, as Andrey Rublev, Kyle Edmund are just few places outside of top 100 in the ranking at the moment.

Other places in ranking of most used brand are still the same. Third place belongs to BABOLAT, which have strong position between TOP 100 players (however not so strong in TOP 50). YONEX, PRINCE are covering 4th and 5th place for long time and we do not anticipate any changes in that.

WTA TENNIS – WILSON KEEPS THE LEAD

Women tennis shows different picture. WILSON is strongest brand ahead of BABOLAT for long time and we do not see any substantial changes in future. WILSON still has biggest share between WTA players, however they lag in wins behind BABOLAT and HEAD rackets this year. But there was still just 6 tournaments played this year, and surprising loss of Serena Williams in Australian Open Final let them with just 1 win this year.

Third place between players belongs to HEAD, but we expect that after Kerber win, YONEX can challenge HEAD for third place. YONEX has more young quality players under contract. Kerber and Bencic can win a lot in next years.

You can check all the actual tennis pro guru data here and we will run updates of them on regular basis.
